The pressure regulator means that you have an even output from the burner regardless of the temperature, down to zero degrees. Below zero degrees, it is wise to use four-season gas that keeps the pressure up.

If you are cooking in minus degrees, you can put the gas can in a cup of water, then it is as if the temperature is above 0 degrees.

MSR has also adapted the heat exchangers to the burner head so that incomplete combustion and coal loss can be avoided. This also provides stability and maximum utilization of the gas.

The cooking system is minimally affected by wind, which means that you can cook outdoors in the wind with full effect, low boiling time and efficient gas consumption, which no other system on the market can do as well.

THE HEAT RELEASE MECHANISM

The WindBurner® cooker is designed with an internal heat release mechanism that shuts down the cooker if it overheats. Overheating can occur as a result of the use of boilers of other brands than WindBurner, storage at temperatures above 49 °C, damage to the burner unit or incorrect ignition. The heat release mechanism cannot be reset until the cooker has cooled down for 5 minutes. Be aware that repeated heat release of the cooker may indicate damage to internal components which may cause fuel leakage and cause fire, burns, serious injury or death.
